Get to know us
Light to the World Pentecostal Church was founded in the year 2000. We are a Slavic congregation rooted in the belief in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Our services are primarily conducted in Russian, with English translation provided as needed to reach and serve a wider audience.
As a church, we are deeply committed to the Holy Bible as our foundation and doctrine. Our teachings are centered on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, as well as the examples set by the 12 disciples.
We wholeheartedly believe in the spiritual gifts that God gives to His people. One gift we place strong emphasis on is the gift of the Holy Spirit, which empowers, leads, and strengthens the Church for ministry and daily life.
At Light to the World, we seek to glorify God in all we do and to be a light in our community through Spirit-led worship, biblical teaching, and fellowship grounded in love and truth.

What is a Pentecostal theology
In Pentecostal theology, the gift of tongues is seen as a spiritual gift given by the Holy Spirit, often associated with the events described in the New Testament book of Acts, particularly in Acts 2. According to Pentecostal beliefs, speaking in tongues is considered a form of glossolalia, where individuals speak in languages they do not know but are believed to be inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Pentecostals view the gift of tongues as a sign of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, often associated with spiritual empowerment, prayer, and worship. They believe that speaking in tongues can serve various purposes, including personal edification, prayer, praise, and sometimes as a form of prophecy or communication with God.
It's important to note that interpretations and practices of the gift of tongues can vary among different Pentecostal denominations and individual believers. Some may emphasize its importance more than others, and interpretations of its significance can also differ.
Pentecostal view on the Holy Spirit:
Baptism of the Holy Spirit: Pentecostals emphasize being baptized in the Holy Spirit, a separate experience from salvation. This baptism brings empowerment for Christian living and ministry, often marked by spiritual gifts like speaking in tongues.
Spiritual Gifts: Pentecostals believe the spiritual gifts described in the New Testament—tongues, prophecy, healing, and more—are still active today. These gifts demonstrate the Holy Spirit’s presence and are used to build up the church and advance God's kingdom.
Guidance and Empowerment: Pentecostals rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance, empowerment, and comfort. Through prayer and discernment, they seek the Spirit’s leading in decisions and living according to God’s will.
Sanctification: The Holy Spirit is seen as vital in the process of sanctification, helping believers grow in holiness and Christlikeness. The Spirit empowers them to live righteous lives.
Overall, Pentecostals view the Holy Spirit as an active, essential member of the Trinity who guides, empowers, and works through believers for God's glory.
